With 25 years of experience in the audiovisual industry, Maria Angela de Jesus has held positions at HBO, Netflix and Paramount+, as well as at Conspiração Filmes, where she served as an associate producer. She is the first woman to serve as President of Fundação Padre Anchieta, which oversees TV Cultura and other affiliated entities. She is one of the leading executives in Brazil’s audiovisual sector.
At HBO Latin America Group, she served as Vice President of Original Productions, leading the development and production of fiction and documentary content. In this role, she oversaw series such as Filhos do Carnaval, Mandrake, Psi and Magnífica 70, for which she received International Emmy nominations, as well as O Negócio and Alice.
At Netflix, she was Director of Originals in Brazil, responsible for the development of productions including Bom Dia, Verônica, Coisa Mais Linda and Reality Z. She also led the internal teams behind Irmandade and Sintonia.
At Paramount+ in Brazil, she served as Head of Content Production, working on the children’s production Marcelo, Marmelo Martelo and the series Anderson Spider Silva, for which she also received an International Emmy nomination.
In 2024, she joined Conspiração Filmes as an associate executive producer.
Since June 2025, she has served as President of Fundação Padre Anchieta, overseeing TV Cultura, Cultura Brasil and Cultura FM radio stations, TV Rá Tim Bum, Univesp TV, Solar Fábio Prado and the Brasil Jazz Sinfônica Orchestra.
