About me
Alexandre Sônego holds a PhD in Education, Art, and Cultural History from Universidade Presbiteriana Mackenzie, including a sandwich period at University of Leeds in the United Kingdom. He is currently pursuing a degree in Museology and holds a Master’s in Education. He served as director of the Museu da Imagem e do Som de Campinas for ten years (2015–2025), with a focus on the preservation, cataloguing, and dissemination of film collections.His work engages with fields such as memory, education, and cultural heritage, contributing to the appreciation of audiovisual collections and their integration into educational and museological contexts. Throughout his career, he has been involved in projects related to cinematheques, museums, and research initiatives, particularly in the organization of archives and the promotion of public access to moving images.
