About me
José Maria Pereira Lopes is the Manager of the FPA Documentation Center, having worked there since 1979. He has worked for other broadcasters such as Rede Tupi, SBT, and TV Excelsior, always in the area of audiovisual preservation and restoration. He was also the Coordinator of the MIS – Museum of Image and Sound of São Paulo's collection for 25 years. He is considered one of the leading names in the field of restoration and conservation of audiovisual collections in the country, having represented the FPA at several international congresses (such as in Paris, Venice, Mexico City, Belgium, California, and Portugal), as well as at FIAT – the International Federation of Television Archives. He is the technical curator of the International Black Film Festival. Currently, he is the public relations officer for MIS-SP and a member of the commission of the Forum of Museums.
