Historian of the moving image and audiovisual archivist. She is currently the director of the audiovisual archive of Caracol Televisión. She holds an MA in Preservation and Presentation of the Moving Image from the University of Amsterdam, with additional training in best practices in audiovisual archives and digital preservation at the Konrad Wolf Film University of Babelsberg, FRAME/INA, and FIAF.
She is the author of the book "The Audiovisual Archive and the Writing of History," a research grant from Idartes (Bogotá) in 2018, and of the research project "Towards an Audiovisual Archaeology of the End of the Cold War in Latin America" (Media Studies Grant from the International Federation of Television Archives in 2018). She has taught courses on digital preservation, best practices y audiovisual preservation, audiovisual heritage and the history of audiovisual media and art in Colombia at Javeriana University, the National Pedagogical University, and Jorge Tadeo Lozano University. She is the author of numerous articles on audiovisual archives in Colombia and Latin America, and of research on the relationships between audiovisual media, the arts, and politics in Colombia. She led the collection management and cataloging area of Señal Memoria (RTVC's public media archive) from 2015 to 2020, and has been involved in research and training in Audiovisual Heritage in Latin America in various spaces such as INAH, RIPDASA, Ibermemoria and the National Audiovisual Institute.
