He holds a degree in Social Communication, is a documentary filmmaker, and has a Master's degree in Cultural Management from the University of Chile. He has developed his career as a director and producer of documentaries and has extensive field experience. He has also worked professionally in management, through the design and administration of cultural projects.For several years he traveled throughout Chile as a correspondent for German, French, and Italian television channels, writing press reports and producing programs focused on preserving tangible and intangible cultural heritage across the country. He was in charge of project development at Puntociego Comunicaciones, Errante Producciones, and Demente Films, securing funding for audiovisual productions at various stages. For two years he taught in the Film and Television program at the University of Chile, and between 2005 and 2006 he served as president of the Chilean Documentary Filmmakers Association.Since 2016, he has served as Head of Preservation at the National Film Archive of Chile, the country's main film archive. At this institution, he has led the implementation and development of the Film Archive's film and digital laboratories, as well as the rescue of historical collections that were at serious risk of deterioration.With ten years of experience, he has specialized in the management and administration of film and digital archives, coordinating the expansion of the archive, restorations, digitizations, cataloging, and ongoing migrations of the archives that this heritage institution safeguards, makes accessible, and exhibits.
