About me
Paula Félix-Didier has directed the Museo del Cine Pablo Ducrós Hicken since 2008. A historian (Universidad de Buenos Aires) and MA in Moving Image Archiving and Preservation (New York University, Tisch School of the Arts), she specializes in audiovisual preservation and Argentine film history. In 2008, she uncovered more than 25 minutes of long-lost footage from Fritz Lang's Metropolis (1927) in the museum's archives, a discovery that led to the film's definitive restoration. She has led the recovery and restoration of numerous early Argentine films, co-founded ARCA (Archivo Regional de Cine Amateur), taught Argentine and Latin American film history at university level, curated retrospectives and film programmes internationally, and published extensively on Argentine cinema.
