What forms of payment do you accept?
Credit card and bank transfer.
What's included in the registration fee?
Member/Speaker and Non-Member registrations include entry to all conference presentations, workshops, and social events, including the Gala Dinner. Student and Single-Day registrations don't include social events.
What's the early bird deadline, and how much do I save?
The early bird deadline is 31 August 2026, and applies to the Member/Speaker and Non-Member options only.
—Member/Speaker: €195 (rising to €240 from 1 September)
—Non-Member: €240 (rising to €285 from 1 September)
Is there a discounted rate for students?
Yes — the student single-day ticket is €25.
If I have a single-day or student ticket, can I attend the Gala Dinner?
Yes, with a separate Gala Dinner ticket (€50).
What's the cancellation/refund policy?
Cancellations received in writing before 15 September 2026 are eligible for a 50% refund. No refunds are given after that date, and no-shows are not refundable. Cancellation requests must be submitted to the FIAT/IFTA Office.
Can I transfer my ticket to a colleague?
Yes — a participant who cancels can ask the FIAT/IFTA Office to transfer their registration. A 10% fee applies to all replacements/transfers.
Do I need a visa, and can you provide an invitation letter?
If you need an invitation letter for a visa application, email the FIAT/IFTA Office at [email protected] and we'll do our best to provide one.
Conference Content & Programme
Will sessions be in English, Portuguese, or both — is interpretation provided?
Some sessions will be in Portuguese and Spanish; English interpretation will be available.
Will sessions be recorded for those who can't attend in person?
Yes — a selection of recordings will be shared the following year. Livestreaming will not available.
Will presentations be shared after the conference?
A selection will be shared post-conference.
Can I still submit a paper, panel, or session proposal?
The call for proposals is now closed.
Practical/Logistics
What's the dress code?
Casual, with smart/elegant attire for the Gala Dinner.
What language(s) should I expect for signage and materials?
English and Portuguese.
Is there a badge pickup process, and when does it open?
Yes, there will be an accreditation desk — details to be confirmed.
